Under the Charger's Hood

Under the hood of the SE and SXT is a 3.6-liter V6 engine. It is good for 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. With an upgrade to the Rallye Group, the horsepower and torque are bumped to 300 and 264, respectively. Estimated fuel economy is 23 mpg combined when selected with rear-wheel drive, or 21 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. A 5.7-liter V8 engine capable of 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque is responsible for speed of the R/T and Daytona trims. The R/T Scat Pack, SRT 392, and Daytona 392 have a 6.4-liter V8 that gets them 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The Hellcat, equipped with a 6.2-liter V8, gets 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. All trims of the 2017 Dodge Charger come with rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SE and SXT have optional all-wheel drive.

Design of Dodge Charger

There are eight trims for the 2017 Dodge Charger: SE, SXT, R/T, Daytona. R/T Scat Pack, Daytona 392, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat. The base model SE is tricked out with 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone manual climate control, keyless entry and ignition, Bluetooth connectivity, a 5-inch Uconnect touchscreen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a six-speaker sound system. The SXT tacks on bigger wheels, heated mirrors, automatic climate control, foglamps, upgraded upholstery, and the upgraded Uconnect 8.4. Upgraded brakes, sporty suspension, and 20-inch wheels are features of the R/T. The Daytona gives you upgraded suspension, some of the content from the Premium Group, leather and simulated-suede upholstery, and the exterior and interior styling of the R/T. The R/T Scat Pack upgrades the brakes and suspension again, and throws in rear parking sensors, eight-way power front seats, and a rearview camera. The Daytona 392 takes all the features of the Daytona and combines them with the R/T Scat Pack, tossing in another set of upgraded brakes. Adaptive suspension, xenon headlamps, a blind-spot monitoring system, forged alloy wheels, a rear cross-traffic alert system, the Uconnect navigation system, and all-leather upholstery are features of the SRT 392. Finally, the SRT Hellcat upgrades the steering and suspension tuning, along with its remarkable enjoy.
